And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1.9-10)
Faith Reformed Church is a group of people who believe that Jesus Christ is the saviour of sinners, including us. It’s our goal to be disciples: intentionally being moulded into his image by way of the Word of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the community of the church.
Worship: Our services are centred on the Word – the Bible – and are structured as a conversation between God and us. God always gets the first word, and God always gets the last word. In between, He speaks, and we respond in singing. He speaks, and we respond in confession. He speaks, and we respond in prayer. He speaks, and we respond in giving. He speaks, and we commit ourselves to doing what He says.
Sometimes we sing with a guitar, sometimes with an organ, and sometimes with a choir. We sing old songs and new ones. We have responsive readings and personal prayers. We celebrate the sacrament of communion every six weeks. We try to keep it fresh and balanced. But mostly we just try to stick to the Word of God.
Sunday School: We have a Sunday School time for the little ones and a nursery for the really little ones.
Come as you are: The dress code is casual, the people are friendly, the coffee is hot and strong. We have hearing devices and a lift for those who need them.
We meet on Sundays at 10 a.m., and we’d love to have you join us!
